I have known beautiful Sienna since she was a little girl & watched her go through struggles that no child should ever experience. When she was first diagnosed with brain cancer I did a photo shoot for her, back then it was unicorns she loved, so that's what I created.
She recently turned 17, & before her next gruelling chemotherapy treatment begins her Mumma reached out to see if I could fit in a session for her, & of course I could..
Whatever gave her an opportunity to feel beautiful, special & seen and as more than her diagnosis.
So, I did a beautiful setup in the greenhouse at Fable Farm, made a vintage botanical setup, & also took her outside for some portraits as well.
This is Sienna's story..
In 2019, at just 10 years old, Sienna was diagnosed with a rare Grade 3 Anaplastic Ependymoma, a form of brain cancer.
She underwent brain surgery, a second surgery to remove residual tumour, and 33 rounds of radiation.
For six incredible years, her scans were clear.
Then in October 2025, after 11 days of relentless headaches, Sienna was taken to hospital, where doctors discovered her cancer had returned. A golf-ball-sized tumour was removed during her third brain surgery.
Once again, Sienna fought.
Then in June 2026, a routine MRI found a tiny 4mm spot in another part of her brain.
Six weeks later, that spot had grown to 13mm, with another spot also growing.
Now Sienna and her family have received the news no family should ever have to hear.
Sienna’s cancer is incurable.
She has been offered a place in a new treatment trial involving paxalisib alongside chemotherapy, and this beautiful girl is going to keep fighting
